A Flying Visit

21 Years ago, our family moved to Ft.Collins, Co. and bought our first home. With the house we also got a family of friends to play with. Julie and Steve Wolf have 2 daughters the same age as Tiffany and Tina and they became buddies so we all became buddies. Julie also became a good friend to Chelley who was still a toddler when we met.   After David was born, Bruce's company moved us to Florence, S.C. then 6 months later the Wolf's were transfered to Atlanta, GA. Obviously our friendship was meant to continue.

Got a call recently from Steve. They're living in Ft.Collins again and were flying (in his plane) to California.
They would stop in Ogden to refuel. Would we come meet them and go to breakfast together?  With bells on!  Breakfast became lunch because of high winds but a good time was had by all of us.

the etc.?

We got to visit with the Johansons around graduation. They came and David especially enjoyed getting to know a nephew.
Tiff was with us on her birthday. We had lasagne for dinner as usual.
Then everyone left our house. Tiff and Nicholas flew to south Florida, David and Tyler drove a truck with all the Johanson's household goods that they've done without for the past year. Bruce and I flew to central Florida and spent some vaca time in the Tampa area. I love sunsets. They're not necesarily prettier than sunrises, but I'm awake enough to enjoy. Then we went on a road trip with David and saw Johanson's new place and visited the Glinecki family.

Graduation, Etc.

David has graduated from High School. We're all thrilled that he's starting the next adventure of his life.
After recieving his diploma, we went to Olive Garden to celebrate. Also in the party were Tiff and Ty and the May family.

More Fun Stuff

The happy couple after the proposal.  We celebrated with ice cream cake from Frosted Rock.

This is the long awaited haircut. The hair WAS long and now it's mostly gone. Too bad it doesn't stay this way.

Oops!

I just realized that I didn't post Grandson #1.
Charlie Glinecki arrived 31 May 2009.  He's a big beautiful blond boy who keeps his mommy running and laughing. He took his first steps the other day so he'll be running in no time.
We got to meet him shortly after his arrival. It was wonderful to be there and watch my baby with her baby.
and then he grew...

and grew!  By the time we get to see him again in June, he'll be running.

finally

My family has been nagging me to update. What, It's only been 6 months... lost my camera cord too. Finally got a new cord but it's not great. I have to hold it in the camera.  Anyhow...

It's been an eventful half year. Became a grandma for the second time which was wonderful. Spent lots of time there tending Nicholas while his momma had to go back to work, and having fun with my first baby and her family. The rest of the grands joined us for Nick's blessing and we all had fun in Florida.

This is my baby and me at the beach.
That was the beginning of December!

Now my youngest baby girl said yes to a boy and we get to plan a wedding. Joy? Joy!
